BSCS 1975 - EECSBrian Laine is founder and President of CheckSum, Inc., a manufacturer of automated test equipment used to test circuit for manufacturing defects. Building easy to use systems around PCs, CheckSum has demonstrated its ability to sell high performance products at a fraction of the cost of comparable test systems from traditional automated test equipment companies. Before starting CheckSum in 1987, Brian held positions at John Fluke Manufacturing and Summation. Mr. Laine has contributed generously to the Victor W. Laine Memorial Scholarship fund, established to honor the memory of his father, a 1946 graduate from OSU's Department of Mechanical Engineering.
